Eligibility & Criteria

in order to qualify for our bursaries, applicants must must be successfully and adhere to all specified criteria. applicants who fail to meet eligibility will be turned away and discounted from the process.

Application schedule

jan 12 - applications open

Application open - Applications for this year open on Jan 12 and will be begin to be accepted from that date.

feb 20 - applications close

applications will close on this date and will no longer be accepted for the current year's grants

feb 28 - shortlisters announced

successful applicants will be reached out to. shortlisted applicants be invited to a 30-minute video call. this will give you a chance to explain your application and motivations for applying in more detail.

mar 10 - winners announced

3 successful applicants will be selected. all applicants, successful or unsuccessful will be notified directly by email. Announcement - successful recipients of the grants will be announced on the website once they have accepted the grant offer via email.

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

how will I receive the grant if i am selected?

Applicants will receive the funds within 90 days of being selected via electronic transfer. We ask that successful applicants have accounts in their name and be able to receive international payments via a bank transfer or via mobile money.

if i am unsuccessful, can i apply again next year?

Yes candidates are able to apply once each time the application windows are open.

if i have won a grant before, can i apply again?

No, applicants who have won a grant before are not eligible to apply for another one.

when do applications open and close?

Application are open from January XX 2024 and will close on March XX 2024 where a shortlist of successful candidates will be selected to progress to the next stage

how will my application be evaluated? who will be making the decision?

The Foundation’s founder & administrative team shall evaluate each application carefully and consider the circumstances. The shortlisted applicants shall be reached out to for a video chat to learn more about their story and ambitions

how will I be informed if my application is successful or not?
